Western Civilization I CLEP Test Description
The Western Civilization I CLEP test covers the information that is taught
in the first semester of a two-semester introductory course at the college
level in Western Civilization.
You will be tested on Ancient Greece, Rome, Athens, the Middle Ages,
the Reformation, and the Near East. You will be expected to know the vocabulary
and terms for historical dates, countries and and political viewpoints.
You will also be required to read, analyze and interpret information in
a map or table.
It is important to understand that you do not have to answer each and
every question correct to get a passing score. You need to get 50 of 100
correct (in most cases) to pass. The people the write the CLEP tests want
you to know about half of the information to get a passing score.
